BAPTISM CELEBRATION ON MAY 20th

Our next Baptism Celebration will be held outside on the Terrace on Sunday, May 20th at noon.  Everyone is welcome to attend this outdoor "party" as we celebrate public professions of life change.  Lunch will be provided.

FILL A BAG, FEED A FAMILY

Horizon's blue bag ministry offers an easy way to help others in need. Grab a blue bag and a grocery list at the information desk on Sunday and take it on your next shopping trip. Bring the filled bag back on Sunday, and Horizon's Action Team will make sure it's delivered to a needy family or local food pantry.

PROMOTION SUNDAY

June 24th is Promotion Sunday at Horizon as all school-aged children and students in K through 11th grade will begin attending to the class that reflects their grade in the fall. For details, call the church office at 513 272-5800.

SERVE AT CITY GOSPEL MISSION

Horizon's Action Team serves dinner at City Gospel Mission twice monthly and we need your help. Join in on the second Sunday, third Monday of every month (and also on the fifth Sunday for months that have one.) The team meets at 5:30 p.m. in the church parking lot to carpool downtown. Contact John Kirby at 513 200-6464.

Ruth & Esther by John MacArthur

When it comes to heroes, Ruth and Esther are unmatched. Facing poverty, social rejection, personal danger, and even death, they show us how God often directly intervenes in the lives of his faithful people. Two stories of faith, bravery, and hope that help us believe that God is real, he is alive, he protects, and guides us. This study guide takes readers on a journey through biblical texts to discover what lies beneath the surface, focusing on meaning and context, and then reflecting on the explored passage or concept. With probing questions that guide the reader toward application, as well as ample space for journaling, this Bible study is an invaluable tool for Bible students of all ages.

Motivating Your Man God's Way by Dr. Emerson & Sarah Eggerichs

The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands. (Proverbs 14:1) Did you know that God has uniquely gifted women to be the "relationship architects" of their home? We are going to help women "tool up" and dust off some secret tools that have been renovating and even restoring marriages across the nation. This study will also incorporate videos from the Love and Respect marriage conference. This course is taught by seasoned moms who wish they had been given these tools about 20 years ago! Whether you are newly married or have been for decades, the principles presented in this study have the power to revolutionize, even save your marriage. Details online at http://loveandrespect.com

James: Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore

James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Once you get to know both the man and the Book of James in this video-driven Bible study, you'll never be the same again. James is a book with many topics - social justice, joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer - all of which are covered in this study. Whether you are a beginner or need to go to the next level in Bible study, this new, tiered study approach makes it's a perfect fit. SEED by Priscilla Shirer

SEED is a unique DVD driven study with minimal homework. Plant a little seed. Grow a big faith. Jesus told about a sower who planted a seed that yielded a hundred-fold harvest. The SEED in His story is the Word of God. Living and powerful. Capable of producing an astounding harvest in your life. SEED is a unique Bible study experience for those who long to dive deeply into the Scriptures. You'll walk away from this study with a revitalized relationship with the Lord and renewed interest for His Word. Details online at http://www.lifeway.com/SEED/c/N-1z13wcu
Sessions include:
Forgotten: Priscilla reminds us all that God notices our worth and cares for us at all times and in all seasons.
Enough: God is a good Father to us and He has taken care of you up to now, and He will continue to. His gifts are good and they are always good enough.
Control: We all want to do the "leading" and have the "control" in our own life. Giving that up is difficult, but it is what God requires of us - and when we do so, we really can see that it is a beautiful result.
