BELIZE TRIP
Horizon takes a group of medical professionals, builders, and volunteers to Belize each winter to serve the families in Central America. You're invited to join the journey, Jan. 23-29, 2009. For details, contact jkirby@horizoncc.com or call 513-272-5800.
ON COURSE FOR THE FUTURE...
Horizon Community Church has purchased 154 acres along the Little Miami River for its future church location. The land is approximately four miles from Cincinnati Country Day School and is the former site of Indian Valley Golf Course. The church is currently in the design phase, working with architect CDH Partners to create the facility. Read details here.

SERVE
Thank you for taking this step in your faith and Horizon involvement. This guide will help you get to know a little about the many ministries of Horizon and numerous opportunities to get involved in each one through the giving of your time and gifts.
In order for this guide to be most effective, we would like to invite you to chat with ministry leaders and/or pastors concerning each area you are interested in. They can help match your interests, passions, gifts, and styles to a ministry area that will be both edifying for Horizon and fulfilling for you. We look forward to helping you discover all the blessings God has in store for you and us through volunteering at Horizon.
Missions and Outreach Opportunities
If you have an interest in missions and outreach, Horizon takes an annual medical service trip to Belize. More information on Belize can be found here.
The student ministry team takes an annual summer mission trip to Mexico, and other groups within the church do local and regional work on an ongoing and as-needed basis, such as disaster relief and home repair and construction.
There are also regular local service projects in conjunction with Inner City Youth Opportunities and City Gospel Mission. Non-perishable food donations are accepted weekly as part of Horizon's Blue Bag Program and delivered on the second Sunday of each month to City Gospel.
Serving with Your Talents and Skills
Horizon offers countless volunteer opportunities for ministry-specific serving, with roles that cater to your individual passions, talents, and experience. In addition to traditional roles for teachers, ushers and musicians, there are many surprising ways that your specific abilities can serve the local church. Some of these tasks include project manager, interior designer, builder, strategic planner, actor, set-up/tear-down crew, greeter, singer, photographer, video editor, writer, teacher, musician, prayer team member, financial planner, computer technician, hospital visitor, traffic director, tutor, student mentor, artist, costumer, administrator, receptionist, caregiver, medical care, chef, public relations agent, ski instructor, coach, statistical analyst, researcher, small group host/hostess, and many more.
