READ THROUGH THE BIBLE IN 2012

As part of our goal to have our congregation read the entire Bible this year, we have found some recommended resources to help you do this electronically. Visit YouVersion, a free Bible service offering mobile apps, daily e-mails, reading plans and more options to help you study scripture.

ONLINE GIVING

By popular demand, we've made it easier for you to support the church financially by enabling an online giving option through the web. To make one-time or recurring donations to Horizon, go to giving.horizoncc.com and use our secure and confidential system. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and AmericanExpress. E-check is coming soon.

CITY GOSPEL MISSION TWICE A MONTH

In addition to our usual second Sunday serving opportunity, you can now serve on the third Monday of each month to help serve dinner for the needy individuals at City Gospel Mission. (There's no need to serve both days.) Horizon's Action Team meets at 5:30 p.m. at the church parking lot to carpool downtown. The team finish serving around 7:45 p.m. with game time to follow until 8:30 p.m. Children six and above can join with parents.

FILL A BAG, FEED A FAMILY

Horizon's blue bag ministry offers an easy way to help others in need. Grab a blue bag and a grocery list at the information desk on Sunday and take it on your next shopping trip. Bring the filled bag back on Sunday, and Horizon's Action Team will make sure it's delivered to a needy family or local food pantry.

Regular schedule resumes on Jan. 8th

  • 8:50 Equipping Service
  • 10:00 Exploring Service
  • 11:10 Exploring Service

Equipping Service at 8:50 a.m.

The Equipping Service is designed for those who are maturing in their faith, featuring more traditional expressions of worship, rituals and observances, monthly communion, and extended teaching focused on specific books of the Bible. The service is a robust, engaging experience where the Arts meet faith with creativity, emotion, and reflection. For a sampling of past services, view our media library here.

Exploring Service - Sundays at 10:00 and 11:10 a.m.

Horizon's Exploring Service offers topical themes that change from month to month. The goal is to bring out interest areas and spiritual themes, relevant to everyday life. The Exploring Service considers broad ranging questions like, "Who is God?" and "What is life all about?" The service uses down-to-earth teaching, upbeat music, and creative multimedia to explore topics like parenting & relationships, world philosophies, decision making, ethics in the workplace, aging, life mapping, and the search for significance. It's an entertaining and comfortable hour where you can explore, while being intellectually and spiritually challenged. Want to hear a message from last week or a previous Sunday? The Gospel in OPERATION: Colossians Study
How does a Christ-follower find greater spiritual health and vitality? In his letter to the Colossians, the Apostle Paul reveals what God's grace looks like in operation. As we carefully remove the things that distract us from Jesus and embrace our new identity in Him, everyday life can be filled with faith, joy, love and hope. The verse-by-verse study series runs at Horizon's 8:50 Equipping Services, starting Jan. 8th. Bring your Bible and invite a friend.  Logo
