IN - CHILDREN'S NEWS

IN Christmas Musical
Shoot for the Stars! Yes, it's already time to begin thinking about Christmas, as Horizon's children begin preparations for this year's Christmas musical, Star of Wonderentitled Star of Wonder -- a musical ride through the heavens with some of our favorite 'stars': Lucky, Shooting, North, Falling and others. There are numerous acting parts, solos, dancing and chorus for all K through 5th grade students. Rehearsals start Sept. 12th. IN Store
The IN store is open the first Sunday of every month. Kids can exchange their IN bucks for toys, books and other prizes. Not only can children purchase items for themselves, but they have an option to also give to children less fortunate. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn the value of giving back.

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS

9:15 Program
The 9:15 service for 7th and 8th grade is a service-focused class called "Beyond Words" that brings what the students have learned in Bible studies to life. They create, develop, and then participate in their own service project. The students will choose what project they want to work on in our community, and then spend one day during the week working on that project. Every Sunday, the students will discuss the previous week's project and then plan for the exciting challenges that service opportunity holds for them in the coming weeks. It will be a time to develop leadership and community through tangible and long-lasting experiences. Get ready for your student to go "Beyond Words."
7th & 8th Grade Location
7th & 8th Grade meets for both services in the choir room, which is located downstairs, next to Freedom 56. To get there, follow the hallway to the right of the auditorium, go through the double doors, turn left down the steps and turn right when you get to the lower level.
