BELIZE TRIP

Horizon takes a group of medical professionals, builders, and volunteers to Belize each winter to serve the families in Central America. You're invited to join the journey, Jan. 23-29, 2009. For details, contact jkirby@horizoncc.com or call 513-272-5800.

ON COURSE FOR THE FUTURE...
Horizon Community Church has purchased 154 acres along the Little Miami River for its future church location. The land is approximately four miles from Cincinnati Country Day School and is the former site of Indian Valley Golf Course. The church is currently in the design phase, working with architect CDH Partners to create the facility. Read details here.

CRASH is more than just a name or a group. CRASH

It is a place for students to belong, believe, and become world-changers. At a glance, CRASH is a variety of encounters designed to help high school students find a comfortable place to explore life, faith, and relationships as they grow into mature young leaders in our world. Close up, it looks something like this:

The Crash Café

Kick back and enjoy our special blend of snacks, drinks, music and discussions about things that really matter. It's the ideal place to plug in if you're exploring Horizon, Christianity, or wherever you happen to be in your faith. You can dive in deep into the discussions or just sit back, play a game of checkers, Jenga or pegs and soak it in slowly. Students gather for The Crash Café each Sunday Morning at 10:30 in the dining commons at CCDS.

CRASH Excursions

Excursions are quick trips to cool places with good friends. They are the ideal place to get to know CRASH and get involved. Excursions have included water skiing, King's Island, The Beach, shopping, bowling, putt-putt, Super Bowl parties, football games, concerts, ice skating, and more. Look for regular updates on these events.

CRASH Escapes

Escapes are longer, multi-day trips where students are challenged to make larger steps of faith. Sometimes it is hard to really examine one's life in the middle of it. Encountering different cultures and new environments can facilitate make positive steps of maturity. Student Escapes include a summer service project in Monterrey, Mexico, winter snow escape, Young Life camps and weekend get-aways.

Life Groups

For those who are looking to dig a bit deeper into their faith, the church, the Bible, or Christianity there a variety of Life Groups offered throughout the week. Life Groups focus on regular Bible study through Scripture or other devotional books, life sharing and prayer, and leadership within CRASH, on their campus and in the peer groups they come in contact with daily. Each group is oriented around gender and depth of study and takes on a unique personality. Study topics, location and focus change throughout the year so be sure to check with the CRASH staff for updates on group life.
