BAPTISM CELEBRATION ON MAY 20th

Our next Baptism Celebration will be held outside on the Terrace on Sunday, May 20th at noon. Everyone is welcome to attend this outdoor "party" as we celebrate public professions of life change. Lunch will be provided.

FILL A BAG, FEED A FAMILY

Horizon's blue bag ministry offers an easy way to help others in need. Grab a blue bag and a grocery list at the information desk on Sunday and take it on your next shopping trip. Bring the filled bag back on Sunday, and Horizon's Action Team will make sure it's delivered to a needy family or local food pantry.

PROMOTION SUNDAY

June 24th is Promotion Sunday at Horizon as all school-aged children and students in K through 11th grade will begin attending to the class that reflects their grade in the fall. For details, call the church office at 513 272-5800.

SERVE AT CITY GOSPEL MISSION

Horizon's Action Team serves dinner at City Gospel Mission twice monthly and we need your help. Join in on the second Sunday, third Monday of every month (and also on the fifth Sunday for months that have one.) The team meets at 5:30 p.m. in the church parking lot to carpool downtown. Connecting with Others Through Groups

Groups are designed to meet the needs of individuals and families with a wide range of relevant and faith-oriented topics. Lively discussion, forming new relationships and exploring Christian faith are what Connecting At Horizon is all about. You'll find relaxed, friendly, and informal discussion at these groups.

Affinity Groups

Horizon's affinity groups allow people who come together for a common interest to get to know others in the community that they might not get the chance to meet on Sundays.

Book Clubs

Horizon's book Clubs bring people together to connect with each other as they read and discuss a variety of materials. They include biographies to fiction to informative works that deal with topics relevant to everyday life.

Bible Studies

Wherever you are in your study of the Bible, Horizon offers opportunities for you to explore in a setting suited for you. From "beginner" 101 groups that require no background or home study, "intermediate" 201 groups or "advanced" 301 level studies. Explore, read and study God's timeless wisdom. Horizon Bible Studies focus on how we can apply the Bible to our lives today.

Horizon is committed to connecting people to a group uniquely suited for them. And if there's not a group that suits your interests, we just might start one with you in mind. For details, e-mail groups@horizoncc.com.

General and specialized mailings

When important news or events occur, Horizon sends mail to those who have given a mailing address for that purpose. News that anyone who attends regularly would like to know - like our recent announcement of the purchase of land for a new facility. No one will be knocking at your door unless you specifically invite that.

At Horizon, one of the core values is making it comfortable to connect or explore without losing control. Just take a moment to fill in a Connect Card on Sunday. Letting Horizon know who is in your family will help allow for specialized news for all ages, including communication from our children's ministry, middle school, or high school teams.
